SNAP Buckets and Blankets Event December 2nd

For the second consecutive year, the Student Nurses' Association of Pennsylvania (SNAP) is excited to host our annual Holiday Blanket Drive, supporting patients spending their holidays in the UPMC West Shore ICU. We welcome all students, faculty, staff, and community members to participate by donating brand-new throw blankets or making monetary contributions. All donated funds will be used to purchase additional blankets, ensuring we can provide comfort to as many patients as possible.

Our main collection event will take place on December 2, from 5:00 to 9:30 PM in the MAC during the women's and men's basketball games. During this event, donors may bring a blanket or a minimum of five dollars. For each blanket donated or each five-dollar increment, the donor will receive one raffle ticket for a chance to win a $50 Amazon gift card. QR codes will also be available at the event for those who prefer to make a digital donation. Raffle winner will be announced during halftime of the men's game at 8pm. 

Following the December 2nd event, additional donation opportunities will continue through December 17th, with collection boxes placed in the Allied Health Building, the MAC, and the Mill. Each box will feature a QR code that allows donors to make monetary contributions quickly and conveniently. 

Last year, this drive received several generously donated blankets, and SNAP hopes to exceed expectations this year as well. Every donation, whether a blanket or a monetary contribution, is highly appreciated and has potential to give the gift of warmth this holiday season.
