Lemont Springs, Pa. - The Penn State Mont Alto softball team picked up two more wins on Saturday with a pair of road victories over PSU Fayette. PSUMA won the first matchup by a 15-6 score before rallying and winning the second game by a 7-6 score.

Mont Alto outhit the home team with 10 hits on the afternoon including a 4-for-4 effort from McKenna Sas (Canyon County, Calif. / Canyon County) who also had seven RBIs. The freshman outfielder slashed a home run to go along with two doubles.

Also collecting RBIs in the victory were Brooklyn Wagner (Newville, Pa. / Big Springs), Emily Sicinski (Westminster, Md. / Westminster), and Chloe Sullivan (Spring Grove, Pa. / Spring Grove).

Kirsten Dell (Hanover, Pa. / New Oxford) picked up the win in the pitching circle scattering nine hits across her five innings of work.

This was a much closer affair with Mont Alto scoring the winning run in the top of the seventh inning. Chelsea Cover (Waynesboro, Pa. / Waynesboro Area) doubled and drove in Karli Snyder (Leetown, W.Va. / Jefferson).

Katie McCauslin (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) pitched the final 2.2 innings facing 10 batters to earn her first win of the season.

Sas, Kirsten Dell (Hanover, Pa. / New Oxford), and Destiny Hall ( McConnellsburg, Pa. / McConnellsburg) each had two RBIs in the middle of the PSUMA lineup.
Mont Alto returns to action in a pivotal PSUAC West matchup on Tuesday against Penn State Beaver. The road games are slated for 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
