Hagerstown, Md. – The Penn State Mont Alto men's soccer team traveled to nearby Hagerstown on Thursday afternoon for a non-conference matchup with Hagerstown Community College. The Nittany Lions battled all game, but fell 6-0 to the Hawks who won their third-straight match to improve to 7-3-2 on the season.
Penn State Mont Alto (1-9, 1-2 PSUAC) was out-shot 20-1 in the match with Brandon Shannon (Biglerville, Pa. / Biglerville) notching the lone shot on goal. Goalkeeper Owen Gilbert (Wells Tannery, Pa. / Forbes Road) had a career-high 12 saves in the loss.
The Lions return to action on Saturday, September 30 for a home PSUAC conference match with Penn State Brandywine. Game time is slated for 1 p.m.
