MBB 2025-26 Preview
The Penn State Mont Alto men's basketball team comes into the 2025-26 season fresh off their first PSUAC conference title since 2021 and an appearance in the USCAA National Tournament.
Last year's team tied the most wins in the Schenzel era with 25, a similar feat last time the team won the PSUAC Championship.
Two of the top four scorers from last year's squad have graduated, Caleb Eckert (12.2 PPG) and Bryson Fleming (9.7 PPG).
Mont Alto does return a lot of experience from last year's group including leading scorer Veron Talla (1st Team PSUAC East/1st Team USCAA) (16.6 PPG), Jonathan Pang (HM PSUAC East/2nd Team USCAA) (11.5 PPG) and Richard Burke (7.1 PPG) amongst many other role players.
Mont Alto will rely on some new additions to fill the void by graduation.
NOTABLE NEWCOMERS:
#5 Lucaya Baldridge (Tulsa, Ok. / Meade)- "Lucaya gives us great versatility on defense, he is a skilled player and will be an important addition to the roster."
#12 Dylan White- (Frederick, Md. / Walkersville) "Dylan comes from a great program and has a good foundation to step into the rotation here. Good scorer and steady point guard."
#2 Jaysen Moise- (Germantown, Md. / Seneca Valley) "Jaysen can play multiple roles for us on offense and defense. He is easily one of the most athletic players we have had at Mont Alto. Scored 1000 points for good high school program.
#15 Lawson Hopkins- (Upper Marlboro, Md. / New Hope Academy) "Lawson comes from a big-time high school program. He played different roles for his high school that allowed him to step in here and provide us with great defense and outside shooting."
#1 Adam Diallo (Tacoma Park, Md. / Montgomery Blair)- "Smart, skilled point guard. "Adam provides us with some versatility at the point position. He can get to the rim and shoot from 3pt range, but his best skill is seeing the floor and creating opportunities for the team."
Mont Alto will face off against Christendom Friday, November 7 at 8pm.
