Men’s hoops drops close game to Wilkes-Barre 72-64

Wilkes-Barre, Pa- Mont Alto Men's basketball team traveled toPenn State Wilkes-Barre for a USCAA division two matchup. A back-and-forth game ended up going Wilkes-Barre way as they win 72-64 over Mont Alto.
How it Happened
-Early in the first, each team would find success scoring the ball, with threes from Veron Talla and Jeremiah Miller.
-With 23 seconds left in the first, Jo-Nathan Kelly would make a three-point shot to tie the game at 31. With time running out Caleb Eckert would make a three-point shot to give Mont Alto the lead going into half-time.
-In the second half with 14 minutes remaining PSU Wilkes-Barre would take the lead with a three-point shot from Anton Berga. Mont Alto would respond right back with a dunk from Veron Talla.
-PSU Wilkes-Barre would then keep the lead for the remainder of the game lead by Jedidiah Ashton and Christopher Killings. PSU Wilkes-Barre earned the hard-fought victory over PSU Mont Alto with a score of 72-64.

Wilkes-Barre Leaders:
Jedidiah Ashton- 22 points, 4 assists

Jeremiah Miller- 10 points, 3 assists
