Sibert wins USCAA POTY, eight All-Americans and 16 Academic All-Americans named
DUBOIS, Pa.- On Sunday morning, the USCAA announced their end of season award winners at the DuBois Country Club to kick off the USCAA Small College World Series. Mont Alto walked away from the awards with eight All-Americans and 16 academic All-Americans.
James Sibert led the awards by earning baseball's Player of the Year honors after a season in which he hit .429 and was at the top of the USCAA leaderboard in hits (64), home runs (15) and RBI's (59). Carter Fogal joined Sibert as a first team All-American after hitting .370 with 8 home runs and 45 RBI's to go along with a 5-1 record and a 1.98 ERA on the mound.
Wyatt Kissel and Cameron Bailey joined the two teammates as they both picked up second team honors.
Softball's Sarah Devilbiss was named to the USCAA First Team after batting .422 with 5 home runs and 43 RBI's. Teammates Kira Weikert, Hailey Spielman and Terri Williams were also named All-Americans as they earned second team.
Each spring team also had eight Academic All-Americans who maintained a 3.50 cumulative GPA with 24 credits or more earned.
Cameron Bailey, Cameron Gill, Nicholas Leckert, Dylan Morgan, Cameron Niland, Garrett Rosenberry, Garrett Worth and Braden Zeger were baseball's Academic All-Americans.
Rachel Alleman, Lauren Allison, Sarah Devilbiss, Hailey Spielman, Cammble Sterner, Alexis Thompson, Alyssa Wiles and Haylee Williams were softball's Academic All-Americans.
Sibert and Alleman also took part in the Home Run Derby on Sunday night as Alleman won the softball derby with six home runs in the final round.
